Hello, I'm Francesca
I’m a project manager, a parent, and an expat based in Rome, Italy.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Italy wasn't in the grand plan. As with many overseas postings, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more substantial.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, routines, expectations. Daily chores seemed more intricate than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began crafting something that felt secure.
Why I Built Relocate & Thrive
Most online content was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourist material. What was lacking was a sincere, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Italy.

This site is:

- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
